Hotel Aldan. At the end of the 19th century Seyðisfjörður was a blooming town thanks to the efforts of Norwegian herring entrepreneurs. Back then a lot of Norwegian wooden houses were erected, Hotel Aldan being one of them. Originally build as a hotel, it was considered to be one of the best in the whole country.
The Hafaldan youth hostel offers accommodation in seven four-bed rooms, cooking facilities, baths and a lounge for guests in delightful surroundings with a beautiful view of the fjord.
